    Description

    For your consideration is a NEW bottom bracket replacement kit for a Cook Bros or Bullseye bottom bracket system.
    This 4130 chromoly spindle is made in the USA from quality sourced materials & is made with quality craftsmanship.
    4130 chromoly has unique characteristics for being a steel but is mainly known for its strength, hardness, and durability.
    You have a choice when selecting a spindle for your bottom bracket.  Other so called "steel" spindled bottom bracket kits being offered on the market are most likely NOT 4130 chromoly.  FYI - it matters and you get what you pay for.
    This kit consists of:  1) a black oxide coated 4130 chromoly 5/8" diameter 110mm. length spindle w/ an ISO machined square taper,  2) a set of aluminum  5/8" lock ring collars w/ set screws, 3) 6 aluminum spacers (2 of each of 3 different thickness to achieve proper chainline adjustment), and 4)  2 stainless steel bolts and 2 stainless steel washers to install your crank set.  With the standard square taper, this spindle will fit all cranks with the same reverse taper.  Some early Fat Chance bikes used the 5/8" spindle also.  Inquire with an email if interested in just the spindle.  Pictures of complete bottom bracket sets are intended for reference only to allow you to understand the type of bottom bracket sets this kit is intended for.  Complete bottom bracket sets are not included with this auction for the bottom bracket kit.
