This 2015 BMW i8 is BMW's highly successful attempt to create a
hybrid supercar that competes in a different class of car than BMW's
usual market. The result? A turbocharged three-cylinder engine that
works in tandem with a hybrid electric motor to produce maximum
performance at minimum emissions. These two components work
together to produce 357 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque to
complement the all-wheel drive system putting the power to the
pavement. The performance figures that stem from these systems are
staggering, getting the car to sixty miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds.
As such, this car is fantastically fun on the track and exciting to drive on the roads.
